Description

In this introductory mosaic class we will explore mosaics with an emphasis on Japanese culture. In Japan, four seasons are at the heart of its culture. As in Pennsylvania, the change of seasons is celebrated! In Japanese culture, “Goldfish” is a typical summer animal because its presence in water reminds us of the warmth outside and cooling qualities of water. In this class we will create goldfish mosaics to welcome summer! The class consists of slides on mosaics and Japanese culture, and all the hands-on steps you need to know to make mosaics including cutting glass, placing pieces, and grouting, plus some Japanese art activities.

This course must meet minimum enrollment by May 25 in order to run. Register today!
