Description

Social media is an excellent way for businesses and brands to reach their audiences and build awareness and trust. The space can be tricky and overwhelming to navigate, but with the right plan, strategy, and tactics you can find your community. In SM 101 Introduction to Social Media Marketing, students will learn what social media means for businesses and brands in 2025, how it is used by modern marketers, and ways to develop and execute a strategic social media plan amid a complex and competitive social media environment. This course is great for those who are new to social media and social media marketing, as well as those who are looking to advance their skills in best practices, strategy, and execution.

Students should be prepared to engage live in Google Meet from 6 to 8 p.m. every Thursday, with the first meeting occurring asynchronously.

This is a credit-bearing class and grades will be given. Please check the supply list tab for materials needed to complete this class.

This course must meet minimum enrollment by September 9 in order to run. Register today!
