Week 1 | June | Exploring the Zodiac in Art Workshop: Grades 7-9

Get inspired by the stars in this one day workshop exploring symbols, iconography, and the history of the zodiac! We will explore how imagery and symbolism of the zodiac has inspired artists and creatives through history. We will use illustration and drawing to create our own interpretations of the various symbols we discover. We will also discuss how meaning can be conveyed through visual media. This is a studio based class with a bit of guidance to start followed by one-on-one instruction. Expect to have lots of creative freedom within the bounds of the assignment!
