Description
In this two day workshop, we will be exploring the history of posters and the social, political, and commercial reasons they were created! From early print advertising to modern digital campaigns, posters are used to communicate ideas through visual elements. We will analyze examples, learn key design principles (layout, color, typography), and discuss how posters communicate powerful messages. Student’s will apply these ideas in a simple hands on exercise to design a poster of their own. This is a studio based class with a bit of guidance to start followed by one-on-one instruction. Expect to have some creative freedom within the bounds of the assignment!
This course must meet minimum enrollment by June 16 in order to run. Register today!
