Week 2 | July | Books and Art: Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Grades 4-6

Get ready to turn your everyday life into hilarious cartoon art inspired by the world of Diary of a Wimpy Kid by Jeff Kinney! In this fun and creative art class, students will learn how to draw expressive stick-figure characters, dramatic facial expressions, and comic-style scenes just like Greg Heffley. We’ll explore how simple lines and doodles can tell big stories. From sketching your own story to designing comic panels and speech bubbles, you’ll create your very own illustrated diary page! This is a studio based class with lots of guidance to start followed by one-on-one instruction. Expect to have lots of creative freedom within the bounds of the assignment!
