Description

In this course we will learn foundational principles for creating portrait drawings! We will cover portrait setup and proportion as you explore how to plan a portrait drawing, choose compositions, and construct accurate head shapes. Students will break down and practice drawing each facial feature—eyes, nose, mouth, ears—and study how they are related to create likeness. This is a studio based class with lots of guidance to start followed by one-on-one instruction. Expect to some creative freedom within the bounds of the assignment!
