Description

In this week long camp, students in grades 6-9 will explore how a collection of artwork is created by experimenting with a variety of art materials and themes. Students will look at examples of artists who create collections of art and work in a variety of media. We will discuss how to create a cohesive theme, how to combine mediums like painting, drawing, and sculpture, and how to organize a showcase of artwork. We will also discuss the artist portfolio and why it is important to consider creating a portfolio of work! This is a hands-on studio class with lots of room for experimentation and exploring new ways of thinking about collections and art!

Camp culminates in an exhibition on the final day that is open to friends and family to attend!

This course must meet minimum enrollment by July 6 in order to run. Register today!
