Description

This in-person class will explore how to make your own patterns that fit your individual body shape. In this four session class we will cover intermediate patternmaking concepts, including:

  • measurements
  • making & fitting a sloper for bodice, sleeve, and skirt
  • how to determine appropriate seam allowances for straight and curved seams
  • how to develop styles through manipulation of sloper darts and curves, and other tools of the trade

Students will finish the course with a minimum of a finessed bodice sloper, sleeve, and skirt sloper, as well as fitted muslins for each sloper. In addition, students should finish with a muslin that they styled for themselves and from which they can trace, cut and sew a garment for themselves. PLEASE NOTE: The prerequisite for taking this course is the introductory patternmaking course. Join us!

This course must meet minimum enrollment by May 27th in order to run. Register today!
