Description
Are you looking to build or refresh your machine sewing skills? In this three hour workshop we will cover basic sewing machine setup, care, and sewing techniques for seams, mending, basting and other applications. After a brief demonstration on how to use your sewing machine, you will practice setting up the machine and practice stitching. You will also learn and practice decorative and other useful stitching techniques. Join us! This is a workshop with some lecture/demonstration and creative practice. Expect to practice what you learn in class! Please check the supply list prior to registration.
This course must meet minimum enrollment by March 17 in order to run. Register today!
Supply List
- Your sewing machine
- It is always best to learn on that, since it is the one you will be using after the workshop.
- A good pair of fabric scissors and some straight pins
- A piece of cloth, such as remnants, an old tea towel or sheet or garment.
- Needle and thread
- NOTE: If you do not have cloth, pins, needle & thread, the instructor will have some kits on hand that you can purchase for a small fee ($5)
