Week 2 | July | Material Exploration – Sketchbook Creation: Grades 6-9

In this class we will dive into unconventional art-making by experimenting with a wide range of materials to discover new textures, forms, and techniques. Students will explore how different materials behave and be encouraged to push boundaries beyond traditional art supplies. The workshop culminates in creating small mixed-media pieces that reflect each student’s discoveries. This is a studio based class with some guidance to start followed by one-on-one instruction. Expect lots of creative freedom within the bounds of the assignment!
